Fanfare Magazine dubs him a composer with “an authentic expressive voice [and a] high standard of musical interest” who plays with “flawless technical proficiency”. Great passion and a sense of humor infuse both his compositions and his performing. The American Record Guide calls Wallace’s music for classical guitar “exciting, unpredictable, and fresh”. American guitarist living in England, Valérie Hartzell has performed on radio, television, in over 30 festivals, both in the United States, Canada, and Europe, and is an international competition prize-winner in 8 competitions. As a solo artist she has performed for numerous performance arts societies and universities. Fanfare Magazine says “…[she] proves herself to be a master at creating moods…” and English radio personality Iain Lee says of her playing, “you are properly brilliant…you’re amazing, I would suggest.”
